Indian singer Mika Singh has unveiled his new water brand and sent thousands of water bottles to protesting farmers.

Indian farmers have been marching to Delhi to protest against three new agriculture laws.

Thousands of farmers have gathered to demand a repeal of the government’s three new farm laws, which they say will leave them at the mercy of big corporations.

Mika has offered his support to the farmers and also urged his fans to help.

The singer said: “The farmers are not just protesting for their rights. It’s for the country.

“If the farmers are not looked after, the whole food chain gets disturbed.

“The farmers, especially the ones from Punjab, have really put up a brave face.”

Mika Singh added: “We are doing whatever little we can in our own ways.

“I am with the farmers and I hope things get resolved soon and we come to a conclusion.

“The sight of farmers dying and being out there in the cold is unbearable. I request everyone to come and support.”

Mika shared an Instagram post pledging his support to the protesting farmers.

Mika wrote: “Guys I sent lots of water to all the needy people.

“So now I have launched our own brand called ILoveWater just to help farmers and other needy people.

The singer has also been rumoured to secretly donate Rs. 1 Crore (£100,000) to buy warm clothes for the farmers at the Delhi border.

Others, including Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, have also come forward to pledge their support on social media.

On December 6, 2020, Priyanka had endorsed a tweet by Diljit.

She also called for the farmers’ concerns about the government’s new agricultural laws to be addressed urgently.

Priyanka wrote: “Our farmers are India’s Food Soldiers. Their fears need to be allayed. Their hopes need to be met.

“As a thriving democracy, we must ensure that this crisis is resolved sooner than later.”
