YouTube and TV sensation, Lilly Singh, has shown off her impressive weight loss to fans in a short video.
The superstar posted the content on her social media channels and described how she lost 25 lbs (11kg).
Showing a before and after shot of her body, fans saw a massive difference as Lilly unveiled her new slender face and trim torso that stunned viewers.
In the video, Lilly states how the weight she gained was partly due to stresses on her mental health. She honestly opens up and states:
“It’s not just the weight I lost, I lost the weight up here first. I finally did the work.”
The video comes just days after the late-night talk show host posted some sultry photos with an open black shirt that bared her sleek stomach and belly button ring.
The video was just a teaser to a more lengthy version that is available if fans preorder her upcoming 2022 book, Be A Triangle.
Within the full version, Lilly talks about her parents growing up with pressures from society and being accepted.
She also details the dangers of social media whilst shedding a light on the lack of support systems for South Asians, which is highly overlooked.
However, besides her heartwarming message, a lot of fans applauded Lilly’s weight loss.
Instagram follower, Simone Lord, said:
“Damn we love you, Lilly. I’ve watched you talk about wanting to get the weight off for years now.
“I’m so happy you were able to get to this point. It’s hard. Really hard. You’re amazing!!!”
A lengthy caption accompanied the video with Lilly writing:
“I’m happier, mentally healthier and in the best shape of my life. In my new video, I tell you the ideas I had to let go of to get here.
“It may be the best video I’ve ever made. It’s honest and vulnerable in a way I’ve never been before.”
As viewers saw this intimate video into Lilly’s troubles, she ended the video with:
“In fact, the only word that does define me is ‘human’.”
