Chani Nattan & Inderpal Moga – ‘Gang Boliyan’


Canadian born artist, Chani Nattan, is no stranger when it comes to hip hop inspired songs.

And, one can expect the thump of classic hip hop in his collaborative track ‘Gang Boliyan’. 

‘Gang Boliyan’ was the lead single from the EP The Plot, which involves Nattan, Inderpal Moga and Jay Trak. 

Both Nattan and Moga lend their vocals for this song with Trak composing the sounds. 

You can clearly here the classical Punjabi bellows within the melodies.

Mix this with the bassy instrumental and trap undertones and you get a lively rhythmic track that is perfect for any occasion. 

Prem Dhillon – ‘Flowers & Saints’


From his third-song EP, Stolen Dreams, Prem Dhillon rewarded fans with a small collection of intimate numbers. 

However, ‘Flowers & Saints’ is the favourite pick here.

The lyrics, penned by Harmanjeet, explore the intertwining aspects of romantic love and a deeper, possibly spiritual, connection.

The verses touch upon the idea of love transcending materialistic concerns.

The poetic expressions in the song highlight a sense of devotion and a profound emotional connection.

With over 914,000 Spotify plays, Prem’s melodic voice is perfect to pull on those heartstrings. 

Diljit Dosanjh – ‘Love Ya’


Diljit Dosanjh had an incredible 2023, making history by performing at Coachella and introducing himself to mainstream western music. 

Perhaps one of the standout Punjabi tracks of January 2024 is his anthem, ‘Love Ya’.

Starting off with his soothing voice, the luscious beat then drops and caters nicely to the English chorus. 

The perfect multilingual lyrics suit the trajectory that Diljit is on, where is songs have a lot more versatility. 

The jam is a soulful Punjabi love ballad that seamlessly combines traditional Punjabi melodies with contemporary elements.

And this theme was personified exquisitely in the music video which features Mouni Roy as Diljit’s love interest. 

With over 24 million views and millions more plays on Spotify, this is definitely one to add to the playlist. 

Jordan Sandhu – ‘Mind Map’


Musician and actor Jordan Sandhu is one of the most listened to artists in the world, garnering 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

His January release ‘Mind Map’ blends RnB layers where Jordan’s voice can shine.

This track is a main hit among fans, one said on YouTube: 

“Completely in love with this song and your voice is magical!” 

The beat focuses on treble and snares and results in a crispy instrumental which is the perfect platform for the singer’s brash lyrics.

DIVINE & Karan Aujla – ‘100 Million’


The song ‘100 Million’ by DIVINE and Karan Aujla is an ode to the remarkable success achieved by the artists.

The lyrics highlight the journey from humble beginnings to reaching extraordinary milestones, symbolised by song’s title.

The verses express the challenges faced and conquered, emphasising the artists’ determination and hard work.

The lyrics also touch upon themes of wealth, success, and the flashy lifestyle that accompanies it, with references to luxury cars, international travel, and a lavish lifestyle.

The energetic and confident tone of the song, combined with the catchy beats, contributes to a celebratory anthem.
