Diljit Dosanjh impressed the crowd with his performance at Coachella.
The popular star made history by becoming the first Punjabi singer to perform at the well-known California festival.
For his live performance, Diljit opted for an all-black ensemble, complete with a black turban, sunglasses and even a pair of black gloves.
As the crowd cheered and danced, Diljit energetically performed some of his hits, including ‘Patiala Peg’ and ‘Lemonade’.
Fans on social media were proud of Diljit for representing the Punjabi community.

A video has gone viral of American DJ Diplo enjoying Diljit’s performance and dancing with his friends.
The video was noticed by Diljit and he responded to Diplo’s show of appreciation, writing:
“Thank you.”
Diljit added a smiley face and sunflower emoji.

In the lead-up to his historic performance, Diljit Dosanjh had been sharing glimpses from behind the scenes.
The star previously shared pictures of himself rehearsing for his performance.
He also looked at ease in a floral co-ord as he carried out a soundcheck on the stage.
Diljit was with his team as he made his way around the stage making final preparations before his performance.
Sharing the images, Diljit wrote: “Sound Check #coachella.”
Replying to the post, Diljit’s colleague and rapper Badshah wrote: “Dilchella.”
In addition to music, Diljit Dosanjh has a number of acting projects in the works.
He will next be seen in the Punjabi film Jodi, which releases on May 5, 2023.
Diljit is also working on the Hindi films Chamkila and The Crew.
Coachella 2023 will continue to have South Asian representation, with Pakistani singer Ali Sethi set to perform on April 16, 2023, at 1:50 pm (PST).
