Diljit Dosanjh was awarded Best Male Act, and Best World Single.
The Brit Asia Music Awards returned for its sixth edition at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham, on Saturday 3rd October 2015.
The night was a celebration of Desi music, dance, and entertainment. The Awards featured a star-studded line-up of winners, guests, and live performers.
The husband-and-wife radio duo of Sunny and Shay presented the evening’s festivities alongside the vivacious Sukhi Bart.
Among the many celebrity guests were the cast of Sky 1 reality TV show, Desi Rascals. Solomon Akhtar, Feryal, and Anj and Mo were in attendance to present awards.
There were seven live performances kicked off by North American singing sensation Jasmine Sandlas.
The Best Dance Group winners, Gabru Punjab De, were joined on stage by Dr Zeus, and then Zora Randhawa, who performed the infectious tune, ‘Inch’.
Imran Khan was awarded three Brit Asia trophies, including for Best Urban Asian Artist. His live set included his hit-single ‘Imaginary’, which won both best Music Video and best UK Single.
His scintillating stage performance of ‘Imaginary’ was as temperature-raising as the video.
Headlining acts Kulwinder Billa and Ranjit Bawa blew the roof off the arena, and brought huge sections of the audience to their feet.
