Yashma Gill addressed the criticism surrounding game nights during Ramadan.

During Ramadan 2024, the trend of game nights among celebrities became a popular trend.

These provided them with an opportunity to unwind and engage in various activities.

The gatherings featured a range of games, from physical sports like badminton and tennis to board games. These were all enjoyed in the hours leading up to Sehri.

As the trend gained momentum, game nights became a regular occurrence, with celebrities frequently coming together for these enjoyable evenings.

Among the celebrities regularly attending these game nights is Yashma Gill. She even hosted her own event during the last Ashra of Ramadan.

Some people criticised the idea of game nights during Ramadan, suggesting that this time should have been devoted to worship.

Yashma Gill has now responded to this criticism on Ahmed Ali Butt’s show Mind Na Karna.

Yashma pointed out that Ramadan offers more leisure time, particularly at night. She said that many people aim to stay awake until Sehri.

Engaging in game nights not only filled this time but also provided an opportunity for physical activity which is beneficial for health.

She emphasised that those who criticise game nights should focus on themselves instead of commenting on the activities of others.

Yashma stated: “If you have such a problem with our game nights, then what are you doing on Instagram?

“You should also go and do Ibadat.”

Ahmed Butt claimed that the critics are the ones playing games throughout the night.

One of the individuals on the show added:

“It is basically a reflection of themselves. They are so miserable that they can only write miserable comments.”

On social media, netizens did not support Yashma.

A user wrote: “I don’t understand why these celebrities promote wrong things.”

Another added: “Keep your game nights and prayers to yourself.

“If you’re going to post everything on social media, then you should also have the courage to face criticism.”

One said: “I’m sorry but these game nights in Ramadan was a terrible idea and instead of accepting that, you’re trying to defend it.”

Another commented: “The way they are all sitting together and ridiculing all those people who tried to correct them is very concerning.

“It shows the level of stupidity Pakistani celebrities have reached.”
