“Salman was bitten last night"
Salman Khan was bitten by a non-venomous snake at his Panvel farmhouse in the early hours of December 26, 2021.
The Bollywood star was bitten on his hand during the night and was taken to a hospital in Kamothe, Navi Mumbai.
An anti-venom medicine was administered to him and after a few hours of observation, the actor was discharged on December 26, 2021.
Salman Khan, who will be 56 in 2021, and his family usually celebrate Christmas and the actor’s birthday at their farmhouse in Panvel, in Maharashtra’s Raigad district.
On a recent episode of Bigg Boss 15 (2021), Salman cut his birthday cake with the cast of RRR including Alia Bhatt, Ram Charan and Jr NTR.
Whilst the actor’s condition is said to be stable, neither Salman nor his family has issued a statement as of yet. However, a source close to the actor stated:
“Salman was bitten last night and taken to a hospital. He was discharged after six hours. He is back home and well.”
Salman recently returned from Riyadh in Saudi Arabia where he led the ‘Dabangg Reloaded’ concert.
Shilpa Shetty, Salman’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma, Sunil Grover, Kamaal Khan and Saiee Manjrekar were part of the lineup.
Jacqueline Fernandez, a close friend of Salman’s and his co-star in the 2014 film Kick, was also meant to be part of the concert.
Jacqueline was being questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in a fraud case and was stopped at Mumbai airport from leaving the country some days before the concert.
During the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, Salman spent a few weeks at his farmhouse where he was joined by Jacqueline Fernandez and others.
During his time there, he took to farming and horse riding.
Speaking on The Kapil Sharma Show, Salman revealed that he used to ask Jacqueline to try out farming while at the farmhouse, adding she would only want to do cardio on the treadmill. The actor said:
“Jacqueline was also there with us. She was doing cardio on the treadmill like a fool. It was foolish. I told her… farm the land.”
He was recently seen in Antim: The Final Truth, which was released in November 2021 and starred Aayush Sharma as the lead.
The actor is currently working on the third film in the Tiger series, where he will be seen with newly-wed Katrina Kaif.
Salman Khan also recently announced that there will be a sequel to his well-received 2014 film Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
