The last episode of the Pakistani drama serial, Neeli Zinda Hai aired on December 23, 2021.

The ARY Digital show, which stars Mohib Mirza, Urwa Hocane and Sonia Mishal, attracted a range of responses from netizens throughout the series.

However, the final episode received mixed reviews from viewers.

Directed by Qasim Ali Mureed and written by Adeel Razzaq, the supernatural horror drama series revolves around a married couple Aman (Mohib) and Sumbul (Sonia).

Talking about the popular show, the director said:

“Neeli Zinda Hai is a classic love story that revolves around the past and present simultaneously.”

Actor and model Agha Mustafa Hussain also starred in the thriller drama series. Talking about the show, Agha mentioned:

“I was super excited to be a part of this project. I loved being able to share the screen with such well-versed stars and learning from them.

“More specifically, what drew me to the series was the horror storyline.

“I have always been a huge fan of thrillers and horror movies and shows so I just knew I had to be a part of the series.”

The couple moves into a new house with their family to start anew after having a stillborn birth. After moving into the new house, the family starts to experience paranormal activities.

Sumbal hires a maid who confirms the paranormal happenings. Meanwhile, Aman refuses to believe in supernatural forces which forces Sumbul into dealing with the situation by herself.

Despite moving house and trying to get closer to one another, the family grows further apart due to Neeli (Urwa) and her actions.

The final episode saw Neeli confront the family members and ended with a suspenseful twist.

Whilst many fans of Neeli Zinda Hai enjoyed the serial and praised the ending, some were not as pleased and took to social media to share their thoughts. One user wrote:

“Thank God Neeli Zinda Hai finished. I started watching it because of the horror genre. It was good in the beginning but the drama was being dragged on so I stopped watching it.”

A third commented:

“Neeli Zinda Hai is so hauntingly beautiful and Urwa looks damn spooky with the blue eyes.”

Some fans have speculated that a sequel may be in the works as a result of the drama ending on a suspenseful note.
