The British Indian music icon Manjeet Singh Ral, who is widely known as Manj Musik, has reportedly been hospitalised.

The artist was admitted to London after an accident that has now forced him to cancel his travel plans.

Manj was scheduled to fly to Mumbai for a high-octane performance at the Zee Cine Awards 2026.

Fans were eagerly looking forward to seeing him bring his signature blend of Bhangra and Urban Hip Hop music.

Specific details regarding the extent of the injuries sustained by the singer have not yet been released to the public.

The former lead vocalist of the legendary group RDB was expected to be a major highlight of the ceremony.

He is the creative force behind massive hit tracks such as ‘Swag Mera Desi’, which redefined the local sound.

The sudden cancellation of his performance has left the organisers of the awards show searching for a quick replacement.

Manj’s incredible musical journey is inseparable from the long and successful history of the former band known as RDB.

Alongside his brothers Kuly and Surj, he helped redefine the sound of the diaspora during the early 2000s era.

They were instrumental in bridging the gap between the streets of the UK and the glitz of Bollywood films.

They collaborated with global heavyweights such as Snoop Dogg, T-Pain and the famous rapper Ludacris.

However, the group faced its greatest tragedy in 2012 with the passing of the eldest brother, Kuly Ral.

Following this significant loss, Manj eventually embarked on a solo career path in 2014 to move forward.

He launched his own label, Muzik ONE Global, and continued to churn out several massive Bollywood chartbusters.

His popular hits include ‘Whistle Baja’ and the upbeat track ‘Laal Ghaghra’, which featured in major Bollywood motion pictures.

In a previous interview, the singer spoke about his late brother and the legacy of the band.

“I think RDB as a band, of course, has a legacy that will always be there, and it was something that I knew I would not be able to keep going without my older brother being with me in producing music.

“But individually, I just want to create my own type of sound and my own vibe, starting with hip-hop.

“I think just constantly releasing content and just being fully active through shows, concerts and being on the circuit with travelling – that is the best way of staying relevant today.

“I believe once you’re out of sight, you’re out of mind.”

His fans worldwide are now sending prayers and wishing him a very speedy recovery after this most unfortunate accident.

The music industry is waiting for more updates on his health while the awards show proceeds without its star.
