Parineeti Chopra was recently announced as a judge on the upcoming talent reality show, Hunarbaaz, alongside Karan Johar and Mithun Chakraborty.

A new promotional video from the show shows Parineeti getting emotional after listening to a contestant’s story of struggling in Mumbai.

Voot, an Indian subscription-based streaming service, shared a promotional clip of the upcoming episode, which shows a contestant performing stunts on a high pole.

Alongside Voot, Hunarbaaz will also be telecasted on Colors TV.

As the contestant performs his daredevil routine, the song ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ plays in the background. The contestant is also seen talking about his days of struggle in Mumbai. He says:

“I struggled a lot after reaching Mumbai, I did not have a place to stay so I lived under a tree.

“I would hope someone would give me food or someone to give me some money so that I could go back home.”

Upon hearing the contestant’s ordeal, Parineeti Chopra couldn’t help but cry. While crying, Parineeti said:

“When I come across such people, it breaks my heart.”

Karan Johar was seen consoling the actress.

He had recently shared another promotional video of the show, which introduced him, Parineeti and Mithun as judges, as well as Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa as hosts.

In the caption, Karan wrote: “An open stage for talent across the country, nothing like ever before! #hunarbaazdeshkishaan.”

The judges and hosts were seen dancing to the title track of the show, inspired by the song ‘Koi Yahan Naache Naache’.

Parineeti Chopra recently shared a note on Instagram about her TV debut. In the note, Parineeti had written:

“I have always been aware of my love for TV. I’m most comfortable on stage with a live audience, and obsessed with meeting people and hearing their stories, so TV always felt like a natural fit.

“Now the challenge was to just find the right show.”

“I am happy to announce that I will be joining the jury at the judges’ table with the original veterans of this world – Karan and Mithun Da.

“I’m excited to go on this journey with them and combine 2 of my long time dreams – having fun with and learning from the both of them on a platform this size, and connecting and getting to know the talented people of our country.”

The actress, who has been vocal about mental health and body shaming, recently shared her advice for people struggling with the same issues. Parineeti said:

“For body shaming, you need to choose what you want in life.

“If you are unhappy with your fitness, stamina, health, size, anything, do everything you can to fix it because it’s only gonna be good for you.

“Mental health, talk to people. I don’t think I would have been able to do it alone.

“I think I would have only taken the wrong calls and I would have slipped deeper into depression if I hadn’t picked up the phone and said I am going mad, please come, talk to me.

“So it’s important to have the right people around you, they can fix it within minutes for you.

“We women can be complicated in our minds and we can make it worse for ourselves. But the right people can fix it for you.”

It is quite evident that Parineeti Chopra has a humanitarian side to her personality, reflecting her emotions and acting as an advocate to highlight real issues.
