Ranveer is known to be a huge fan of Big B and has time and again mentioned how inspired he is by the legendary star. It has also been Amitabh Bachchan’s tradition to send out personal notes to actors who impress him with their work.

In the past too, he has sent out notes to actors such as Kangana Ranaut for her performance in Queen and Deepika Padukone for her role in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.

Padmaavat also stars Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles, although it is Ranveer who has been hogging the post-release limelight.

The actor went through strenuous workouts and immense emotional pressure whilst taking on the role. In a recent interview, he revealed how challenging it has been for him to get into the headspace of an eccentric, barbaric character like Khilji.

Thanking Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his role, Ranveer expressed on Twitter:

“Sanjay sir has given me a gift of a character that I’ll forever be indebted to him for in my life, more than I already am. You shaped me into an artist I am, sir. I love you.”

After being postponed due to on-going protests from the Rajput community, Padmaavat managed to release a month later and is currently enjoying a positive response overall. The film is expected to become Ranveer’s highest grossing film ever. He is quickly becoming the superstar of the masses and there are high expectations from his upcoming works too.

Going for a starkly different physical transformation, Ranveer’s next, Gully Boy, will have him in a lanky look.

The film is being helmed by Zoya Akhtar and revolves around the local rap artists from Mumbai slums who are making it big in the musical scene. The film will bring together for the first time, a pairing of Ranveer and Alia Bhatt. The duo appealed to the audience after appearing in a popular commercial for a travel site.

Apart from Gully Boy, Ranveer has also signed Rohit Shetty’s next titled Simmba. The film will feature him in the role of a cop. Shetty-Singh combination is expected to be an explosive one considering their love for commercial potboilers.

Looks like Ranveer is on his way to give some back to back hits soon!
