In a deeply disturbing incident, a Pakistani woman was brutally murdered by her in-laws for supposedly cooking the food late.

The tragic event occurred in Kot Sultan village Korywali, Layyah, and has sent shockwaves throughout the community.

According to sources, the victim, Parveen Bibi, was subjected to severe torture by her husband Muhammad Yusuf.

He did this along with his brothers Muhammad Ejaz, Muhammad Younis and Nadar.

The incident came to light when Abdul Majeed, the victim’s uncle, filed a complaint leading to the registration of a case against the suspects.

The FIR detailed that Parveen Bibi was mercilessly beaten with clubs by the suspects, causing her to lose consciousness.

Following the assault, Parveen Bibi was initially taken to hospital.

However, due to the severity of her injuries, she was transferred to the district headquarters hospital.

Eventually, the Pakistani woman was moved to Nishtar Hospital in Multan in critical condition.

Despite the medical efforts, Parveen Bibi succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

Following the violent attack, the suspects went on the run and remain at large.

The police have initiated multiple raids to apprehend the culprits responsible for this heinous crime.

A special investigative team has been formed to expedite the process and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Layyah District Police Officer Asadur Rehman made a strong statement regarding the incident.

He said that violence against women would not be tolerated.

As the investigation continues, the community and authorities alike are calling for swift justice to be served.

The brutal nature of this crime has sparked outrage and called for stricter enforcement of laws protecting women from domestic violence.

A user wrote: “You never hear any good news coming out of Layyah. Prove me wrong.”

Another added: “Just another day in Pakistan, for women from smaller towns.

“All will be forgotten and a new incident will take place in no time.”

One said:

“These so-called husbands are supposed to be the protectors of women.”

Another user noted: “And then they get angry when we don’t feel comfortable in the presence of men?”

One questioned: “Yesterday a shopkeeper was beaten and every influencer, actor, and politician spoke up.

“But today a woman was literally killed and they all ignored it like it was nothing?”

Another declared: “Joint family system will ruin Pakistan.”
