"I don't think about it on a day-to-day basis."
Ahead of entering the Love Island villa, Jasmine Muller opened up about her past relationship with footballer Héctor Bellerín.
The fashion business owner was announced as part of the line-up for the 2026 series, which gets underway on June 1.
But she remained in the headlines when it was reported that she had a famous ex, later revealed to be Héctor Bellerín.
Jasmine explained how her previous romance has shaped her approach to relationships and prepared her for life on reality television.
She told Digital Spy: “I think it’s so long ago now that I don’t think about it on a day-to-day basis.
“But I’m sure that having lived that at such a young age has obviously prepared me, as have other things.
“I’ve been in the public eye with an online job since I was 19, so it’s been a while of doing a public-facing job, I guess.
“I don’t know if that’s the right way to put it, but I think I feel prepared, and I feel like I know that people like to talk, and it doesn’t really bother me too much.”
Jasmine and the former Arsenal defender are believed to have started dating in 2021.
TikTok videos previously showed cosy photographs of the pair together.
Despite the relationship ending, Jasmine said she remains on good terms with the Spaniard, who now plays for Real Betis.
She said: “I mean, I have a lot of time for him.
“I think we left things on really good terms. There’s not really any drama or anything interesting to say about it, because we both just have a lot of love for each other.
“And I think, you know, I’m really excited to hopefully find something again, and something really exciting and honest.”
Jasmine admitted her positive past relationships have made dating more difficult because of the standards she now expects:
“I’ve dated some really great people. I’ve had very good positive experiences in my past.”
“So I think that’s also why it’s been hard for me, because I’m measuring people to a very high standard from such a young age.”
On whether she would date another footballer, Jasmine said:
“I think I’m open. I’m open to getting to know everyone.
“I’ve been single for a while, so just give me whatever at this point and I’ll see how it goes.”
