"Kalindi (Kareena) is becoming a stripper in Veere Di Wedding 2"
Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan was joined by Veere Di Wedding (2018) producer Rhea Kapoor on her radio show, What Women Want where Rhea delivered “breaking news.”
Kareena and Rhea famously bonded while filming for Veere Di Wedding (2018) and continue to share a lovely camaraderie.
The hit film follows the lives of four friends who reunite for Kalindi’s (Kareena) wedding.
Sakshi (Sonam Kapoor) takes the girls including Avni and Sakshi to Thailand where they rediscover themselves.
On What Women Want, the two ladies were at their witty and candid best as they openly spoke about numerous things.
Yet, it was one particular part of the show which stood out. In the final segment of the show, Kareena and Rhea played a fun game.
Kareena asked Rhea which members of the Kapoor family she thinks would best suit the following professions.
These included jobs like a masseuse, therapist, carpenter and more. Kareena also asked Rhea who would best suit being a stripper.
In response to Kareena’s question, Kareena herself immediately said: “I think you should take this” to Rhea.
Jokingly Rhea replied saying, “I have taken it and I think Kalindi (Kareena) is becoming a stripper in Veere Di Wedding 2. I have given breaking news.”
Continuing their friendly banter, Kareena revealed that Rhea was an “exhibitionist.” She said:
“I think you are the eternal stripper because you are always like, ‘Show something, wear sleeveless, show some skin…’ so that’s it, you are that type. You are an exhibitionist.”
Rhea confirmed she was the one who asked Kareena not to be so covered up. Kareena said:
“You love it. That’s why the stripper is Rhea Kapoor.”
Rhea also candidly spoke about how working in the film industry is difficult as a female producer as she faces sexism.
During an Instagram Live session, Rhea interacted with her fans. She revealed that the 2018 blockbuster film, Veere Di Wedding will be returning with a sequel. She said:
“I think it’s gonna happen actually. It might happen sooner than I thought it would happen. But things look good. I am excited.”
The film was directed by Shashanka Ghosh and featured an all-girl ensemble starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania.
Veere Di Wedding (2018) was a major success at the box office as it grossed over Rs 100 crores worldwide.
