"I’ve to be in a relationship to cheat.”

On an episode of Koffee With Karan, host Karan Johar revealed that he recently went through a breakup.

The episode featured Anil Kapoor and Varun Dhawan as guests.

The trio spoke about sex, relationships and infidelity but Karan ended up revealing secrets of his own.

Karan’s admission came when he grilled Varun about his marriage to Natasha Dalal.

The filmmaker asked: “You pretty much married your college sweetheart.”

Varun corrected him, saying: “School sweetheart.

“It’s been amazing. It’s the best thing that has happened to me in my life.

“She’s the balancing factor in my life, and she doesn’t even ask for much.

“She doesn’t demand much. She just wants my time. She’s amazing.”

Karan then began to question Varun about dating “many” girls.

He said: “You were on and off in your relationship dynamic with Natasha before (wedding).

“You’ve been a boy about town. You’ve had a fair amount of interactions with many other girls before you kind of decided to cement your relationship and get married.”

Karan also said that Varun’s latest film Jugjugg Jeeyo is about infidelity.

Varun then turned the tables on Karan, stating that he seems too interested in the subject.

Karan said: “I’m interested in human behaviour in general.”

Varun then asked: “Does this mean that you know a lot of people who are cheating in the marriages?”

Karan admitted that he does but refused to give any names.

Continuing to question Karan, Varun asked:

“Have you cheated in your relationship? Are you a cheater?”

Karan replied: “Am I cheating? I’ve to be in a relationship to cheat.”

Varun said: “So you’re not saying that you are not in a relationship?”

Admitting that he recently went through a breakup, Karan revealed:

“You know I’m not, and you know I broke up.”

Karan went on to say that Varun supported him through the tough time.

He told the actor: “You wanted that out of me?

“You know I broke up and you were very supportive of me in that relationship. Thank you very much.”

During the episode, Varun also admitted that he started to doubt himself as Karan Johar had not cast him in his recent films.

He said: “Sometimes it was also along the lines of why Karan thinks I can’t do these roles.

“For me, it is more in terms of introspection of my competencies. It never leads to me feeling envious or defeated by your selection. I take it as an opportunity to analyse where I can possibly improve.”

The episode also saw the trio dancing and Anil Kapoor saying that sex makes him feel younger.
