Harpreet Kaur confirms Sister will remain as Business Partner f

"we were happy to change it but she's going to stay."

Harpreet Kaur revealed that her sister will remain a shareholder in their dessert parlour business, despite concerns that would no longer be the case.

The Apprentice winner caused controversy when she appeared to say that she would be willing to remove her sister Gurvinder from their business.

Harpreet has now stated that is not the case but said Lord Sugar is yet to meet Gurvinder.

She said: “My sister is going to remain as a director in the business. They made a big deal of it on the show but it’s not that big of a deal.

“Lord Sugar is getting two for the price of one and is looking forward to meeting my sister but if it stopped him from investing then she was going to step down.

“During the interviews, there was nothing they said about the business plan, they had no issue with it.

“I was so confident because I thought if the only problem is the company structure, not the business itself, then I’m onto a winner.

“They had no problems with the costs, expenses, figures, so if it was just a case of my sister being a shareholder then we were happy to change it but she’s going to stay.

“We didn’t have to argue or anything – it was a bit of fun TV editing but Lord Sugar doesn’t have a problem.”

Gurvinder became the subject of memes after viewers believed she would be replaced by Lord Sugar as a shareholder.

Harpreet joked: “I tease her with the memes though and say ‘right – you’re sacked!’

“Lord Sugar says you’re out sis, goodbye!”

Harpreet Kaur started the dessert business when she was 24.

She revealed that she is too busy to be dating, especially since winning The Apprentice.

Harpreet told The Daily Mail: “It would be lovely to settle down one day but right now if someone asked me on a date, I’d say yes, the 15th December 2023 – I am too busy.

“Unfortunately, any potential dates are going to have to wait.

“The man of my dreams could walk past me, and I wouldn’t bat an eyelid.

“We all go through different life journeys and experiences.

“It is hard to get the perfect balance – right now I am happy running my business and doing my own thing.”

Speaking about the show’s “gruelling” process, Harpreet said:

“It is so tough and no one gets it unless you’re in the process otherwise you just think it’s a bunch of people on TV looking silly.

“It is so much more than that. It is such a crazy experience. I won and I still had a traumatic experience.

“Whenever I have watched the show in the past and someone’s quit I’ve thought ‘why she’s quit?’ but now I get it.

“It is so gruelling and it drains you emotionally, physically, and mentally.”

Harpreet beat Kathryn Burn to Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment with her dessert parlour Oh So Yum!

Since winning the show, Harpreet has expanded her business by launching a nationwide delivery service.

On the future of the business, Harpreet Kaur stated:

“My next aim is to open another store within the next six months. I’m going to make sure I do that. I will do it, I promise.

“I would like to open another store in Yorkshire because it’s a good link and there’s plenty of custom around here and then further from that, I want to continue exploring the rest of the UK.

“I know I have a lot of people down south that want my fresh waffles and fresh crepes so I will stick to Yorkshire for the next few months but then I want to continue growing from there.”
