A disabled Indian man has impregnated his teenage niece after repeatedly raping her.
The man, from Jagadgirigutta in Hyderabad, raped his 13-year-old niece over a number of months.
The shocking crime was only discovered after the teenager found out she was five months pregnant.
Police arrested the man on Sunday, May 30, 2021.
According to reports, the girl complained of a stomach ache and her family took her to the hospital.
After finding out she was pregnant, the girl revealed that her disabled uncle sexually assaulted her at his house multiple times.
The family then lodged a complaint, and the police filed a case under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The case against the disabled man was also filed under multiple sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Many Indian women and girls become victims of sexual assault, and are often faced with consequences if they refuse.
In another shocking incident, an Indian man shot and killed his wife for refusing to have sex with him.
The accused, 37-year-old Pappu Kumar from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, also threw his three young children into a canal.
According to police, the man’s wife, Doli, had not had sex with him for 15 days.
When she refused on the day of the incident, Pappu grabbed his gun and shot his wife, killing her instantly.
The man then threw his children into the Ganga Canal before fleeing.
Police officers located Pappu and arrested him the next day. According to Pappu, he decided to murder his wife because she “refused to be physically intimate with him”.
The man also admitted that he killed his children because he was scared that he did not know what would happen to them.
Speaking of the case, a police officer said:
“The accused said that his wife was spreading his physical advances for the last 15 days, which made him angry.”
“Pappu had warned his wife that he would kill her if she did not do it.
“When she refused again on Tuesday, Pappu allegedly shot her in the head.
“After killing his wife, the accused was worried what would happen to their children so he killed them too.”
An investigation is ongoing to recover the bodies of the man’s children, with the hope that they are still alive.
However, it is believed that they are also dead.
