Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, KK Singh has revealed his late son’s plans to tie the knot in 2021.
The actor tragically committed suicide on 14 June 2020 at the age of 34, at his residence in Bandra.
It was revealed Sushant was suffering from depression for approximately six months before his demise.
According to an interview with Tadka Bollywood, KK Singh spoke about his son. He revealed that Sushant used to be open with his feelings.
However, this changed in recent years as he became reclusive. He said:
“He used to be frank before, but didn’t speak much about what he was going through towards the end.”
Previously, Sushant was dating actress Ankita Lokhande who he met on the sets of their television show Pavitra Rishta.
The former couple dated for six years. KK Singh disclosed that Ankita met them in Mumbai and Patna after Sushant’s demise.
The actress was pictured visiting Sushant’s Mumbai residence after his death.
His father also added that she was the only girl that he knew about who was a part of Sushant’s life.
He further added that he was not aware of his son’s reported relationship with actress Rhea Chakraborty.
KK Singh further added that he met his son’s co-star Kriti Sanon who immensely praised Sushant at his funeral.
Speaking about his conversations concerning marriage with the late actor, he said:
“We had spoken about it earlier. He told me that he won’t get married during corona but after his upcoming film releases, he will think about planning a wedding around February-March.
“This was the last conversation we had about his marriage.”
Despite not mentioning the identity of the girl Sushant wanted to settle down with, KK Singh said:
“We told him he should get married to a girl of his choice as he has to spend his life with her.”
Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death sent shockwaves throughout India and abroad.
In fact, it was revealed that the late actor faced many hardships and struggles in the film industry.
This was because he was considered an “outsider.” As a result of this, it was highlighted that Sushant lost out on many big films, was bullied and more.
His shocking death has also led to the discussions of nepotism in Bollywood to be bought to the forefront once again.
Recently, Sushant’s family held a prayer for him in Patna. In attendance was actress Akshara Singh and Manoj Tiwari just to name a few.
