"Sushant and Sara were totally in love … they were inseparable"
The friend of the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Samuel Haokip has alleged that Sara Ali Khan and the late actor were “madly in love”, however, she ended their relationship.
Sara made her Bollywood debut alongside Sushant in the 2018 film, Kedarnath.
The pair captivated audiences with their endearing chemistry and performances.
There is no doubt that fans were delighted with their on-screen chemistry.
Now, Sushant’s friend Samuel Haokip has claimed that their on-screen chemistry turned into off-screen love.
During the filming and promotions for the 2018 film, Kedarnath the rumour mill was on overload with the news of their reported relationship.
Not only has Haokip confirmed the same, but he also revealed why Sara broke up with Sushant.
He claimed that Sara ended their relationship after Sushant’s 2019 film, Sonchiriya failed at the box office.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote:
“I remember the time during Kedarnath promotions … Sushant and Sara were totally in love … they were inseparable … so pure and childlike innocence.
“They both had tremendous respect for each other which was so rare to see nowadays in relationships.”
“Sara along with Sushant had genuine respect for everyone in Sushant’s life … be it family, friends and even staff.”
He continued to mention the pressures faced by the “Bollywood Mafia” in causing the end to their relationship. He said:
“I wonder whether Sara’s decision to break up with Sushant right after Sonchiriya’s box office performance was due to pressure by the Bollywood Mafia.”
He captioned the post: “We accept the love we think we deserve – Stephen Chbosky.”

Sushant Singh Rajput tragically committed suicide on 14 June 2020. It was revealed that he was suffering from depression for the last six months before his demise.
Following his death, Sara Ali Khan shared a black and white picture from the sets of their film, Kedarnath. She captioned it:
“Sushant Singh Rajput” followed by heart emoticons.

On the day of Sushant’s final film, Dil Bechara (2020) released, Sara shared a picture of her father Saif and Sushant. She captioned it:
“The only two gentlemen that have spoken to me about Sartre, Van Gogh, telescopes and constellations, guitars, The Northern Lights, cricket, Pink Floyd, Nusrat Saab and acting techniques.
“This is to the last thing you two have in common – #DilBechara.”
