No matter how many times Sunny Leone reiterates her acting ambition in Bollywood, she just can’t seem to shake off the controversy.
The Indo-Canadian porn star-turned-actress has been busy shooting for her new film, Beiimaan Love (2015).
Our jaw dropped when we found out how much money the production team has used on luxury cars for Sunny’s character!
25 lakhs (£25,000) is the astronomical figure spent over a short 10-day schedule, as revealed by the film’s director.
Rajeev Chaudhuri said: “Beiimaan Love has very rich values from costumes to properties to cars.
“We had to hire Aston Martin, Mercedes S class, Lexus sports cars, Porsche, BMW sports cars etc.
“Total budget of hiring these cars would be around 25 lakhs.”
Her previous film, Ek Paheli Leela (2014), collected Rs. 26 crore in the Indian box office. Against a budget of Rs. 15 crore, suffice to say it borderlines satisfactory.
But in Beiimaan Love, Sunny takes on a different type of role – a young and motivated character with a dream to become a business tycoon.
It is clear she is trying to move away from the sex comedy genre and venture into more serious acting.
Her co-star, Rajneesh Duggal, thinks the Mastizaade (2015) star and co-host of MTV’s Splitsvilla 8 has a knack for it.
He says: “Sunny Leone is sincere and hardworking. She pays a lot of attention to detailing in scene and songs.”
One Night Stand (2015), a directorial debut by Jasmine D’Souza, is also on the way. Sunny will continue to explore her versatility by transforming into a girl next door.
Beiimaan Love is planned for release in 2015, so watch out for its trailer where the busty beauty will (hopefully) be flaunting her assets with an extravagant parade of bad-ass cars!
