"This was a project that was 8 years in the making."

Sunny Leone is set to take a groundbreaking step with her next project, Kaur vs KORE, a pioneering AI-driven feature film.

The film will see Sunny in a dual role, playing both a human superhero and her AI-powered avatar.

The makers say it blends futuristic storytelling with human emotion, aiming to redefine how audiences experience cinema.

A source close to the project told India Today that the film will push the boundaries of technology and storytelling, saying:

“While the script is a complete entertainer with a tinge of thrill, technology will also play an important part.

“The makers are looking to release the film by the end of the year or early 2026.

“Sunny, who has always been vocal about AI and its misuse, was excited to collaborate.

“She feels that the film will celebrate AI but also give audiences some lessons to stay protected in this world of digital mayhem.”

Kaur vs KORE is directed by Vinil Vasu and produced by Ajinkya Jadhav under Paparazzi Entertainment.

Revealing that the film has been years in the making, Sunny said:

“This was a project that was 8 years in the making.

“We had shot a promo envisioning this entire universe and created this trailer with the use of VFX and green screen.

“Me and Daniel [Weber] met with Paparazzi Entertainment and presented this amazing idea to them and it was indeed a successful collaboration.”

She expressed her excitement about finally seeing the vision come to life:

“This project is literally our baby and we are excited to see this dream come true.

“This film is proof that if you have genuine and heartfelt ideas, it will always bear fruits despite the journey being tough. We can’t wait for the world to finally see this.”

Sunny Leone has previously spoken about both the promise and dangers of AI and in 2024, she launched an AI replica to engage with fans.

She also addressed concerns around deepfake content.

At the time, Sunny said:

“It’s a menace that’s been going on for a long time. It’s not a recent issue as many believe it to be.”

“These things have happened to me, but honestly, I don’t think about it much. I don’t let it affect me psychologically or mentally.

“But there are young girls who sometimes have to face the stigma, but they should understand it’s not their fault. They did nothing wrong.

“If something like this happens, they can always go to the cyber cell and brief the officers about the case. Tell them your identity and likeness has been misused. The police will take action.

“And even on social media, there is technical help available where you can report these issues. The system is with you, you just need to do it.”
