"It was a half murder."
Poonam Pandey’s husband Sam Bombay has been arrested by the Mumbai Police for allegedly assaulting her.
It was reported that she suffered injuries to her head, face and eyes.
According to the Mumbai Police, Poonam was hospitalised after lodging the complaint against her husband.
Officers said: “The case has been registered against Sam Bombay under the sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
“The actress has suffered serious injuries on her head, eyes and face.”
Sam Bombay was previously arrested for assaulting Poonam Pandey days after their wedding in September 2020.
The couple were on their honeymoon in Goa when Poonam filed a complaint against Sam for domestic violence.
Poonam had also stated that her husband had molested and threatened her.
Soon after, the couple reunited after Sam was granted bail.
Sam said: “Which marriage does not have its ups and downs?”

Sam shot to fame after the actress and model announced to her fans on social media that the two were dating.
The couple wed at their home in Bandra on September 10, 2020.
They were in a live-in relationship for two years before their engagement.
Poonam shared a picture from their wedding on Instagram and wrote:
“Here’s looking forward to seven lifetimes with you.”
Poonam Pandey had hinted that she would withdraw her case against her husband in 2020.
She said: “I got beaten up very badly this time. It was a half murder.
“I don’t know for how many days I was in the hospital.”
The Nasha actress added:
“Because he is just crying in front of me and I really don’t know what to do?
“Every time he just beat me up and later starts crying saying sorry.”
“This time also he did the same and promised it will not happen again and I will treat you good.
“But this is something he keeps doing always.
“Because of him, I got a brain haemorrhage.”
Soon after Sam’s most recent arrest, Poonam took to Twitter and shared a cryptic message.
She wrote: “Life is unavailable sometimes.”

Sam is a filmmaker and has been involved in directing several adverts with celebrities such as Deepika Padukone, Tamannaah and cricketer Yuvraj Singh.
He has also directed several music videos including ‘Gal Ban Gayi’ and ‘Befikra’ which featured actors Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani.
This is Sam Bombay’s second marriage.
He has two children, Troy and Tia, from his first marriage with model Elle Ahmed.
