Actress Payal Ghosh has claimed that there are threats to her life and has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for protection.

She has also asked the National Commission of Women (NCW) Chief Rekha Sharma for protection, alleging that a ‘mafia gang’ will kill her and stage her murder as suicide.

This comes after Payal had accused Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment.

Payal had alleged that the director had “forced himself” on her during a meeting after he said he wanted to talk to her about something.

In a video, she had said: “I went to meet him and the next day when he took me to the other room, he opened his zip and tried to force his c**k inside my vagina by opening my Salwar Kameez.

“Then he said ‘it was okay, all the actresses who worked with me like Huma Qureshi, Richa Chadha, Mahi Gil, they are just a call away’.

“And whenever I call them, they come running and suck my c**k.

“That’s what he told me and expected me to do the same.”

According to Payal, she told the filmmaker that she was uncomfortable with the whole situation. She asked to leave but said that she would come back and they would have a “good time”.

She went on to say that Kashyap said physical relationships between actresses and directors are normal and “not a big deal”.

Anurag later responded to the allegations and denied them, calling them “baseless”.

Payal has now said that a ‘mafia gang’ associated with Anurag is planning to kill her. She also said that the gang would then make her death look like a suicide.

On October 10, 2020, Payal sought help from PM Modi and NCW Chief Rekha Sharma. She tweeted:

“These mafia gang will kill me…and will prove my death as suicide or something else.”

Payal had previously pleaded with the NCW Chief to help her as the ‘mafia gang’ was allegedly going to great lengths to “suppress and humiliate” her.

She added:

“Please, Rekha Sharma look into this, how the whole gang is trying to suppress and humiliate me.”

The tweet was part of a response to actress Richa Chadha.

Payal Ghosh also responded to Richa after she filed a complaint against Payal for “dragging” her name into the sexual harassment allegations.

In a tweet, Payal said:

“Ms Chadha how do you know I have falsely dragged your name unless the truth comes out, how are you so sure of Mr Kashyap (I’m wondering)??”
