Parineeti Chopra and her husband, politician Raghav Chadha, have announced that they are expecting their first child.
The couple shared the news on Instagram through a heartfelt post.
The announcement featured a picture of a cake imprinted with two golden baby feet alongside the inscription “1 + 1 = 3”, symbolising the couple’s soon-to-arrive addition to the family.
They also posted a video of themselves walking down a road surrounded by lush greenery, accompanied by the caption:
“Our little universe … on its way. Blessed beyond measure.”
The post quickly drew reactions from fellow celebrities.
Ananya Panday commented, “Awww congratulations Pari!”, while Bhumi Pednekar, Huma Qureshi, Neha Dhupia and Sonam Kapoor also left congratulatory notes filled with heart emojis.
Their joyful news comes shortly after Raghav teased the possibility of expanding their family during their joint appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix.
When asked about parenthood on the show, both Parineeti and Raghav laughed it off with smiles, hinting at the announcement that has now delighted fans across the globe.
The couple tied the knot on September 24, 2023, at the Leela Palace Hotel in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in a grand ceremony attended by film stars, politicians and close family.
On the professional front, Parineeti was last seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila, portraying Amarjot Chamkila alongside Diljit Dosanjh.
Her performance earned critical acclaim for its authenticity and emotional depth.
The actor made her debut in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011), but it was Ishaqzaade (2012) that cemented her place in Bollywood.
She later featured in hits like Shuddh Desi Romance, Golmaal Again and Kesari.
