"I knew I was going to marry this man."
Parineeti Chopra delved into her love story with Raghav Chadha, whom she first met at a conference in London.
However, she did not know who he was.
The actress revealed that they had breakfast together and afterwards, she Googled him.
On Raj Shamani’s podcast, Parineeti explained:
“We met at an event in London, and usually, I’d just say hi and move on, but this time, I said, ‘Let’s meet for breakfast’.
“Including our teams, it was around 8-10 of us, and we met at breakfast the next day.
“I had no idea who he was and what he did. I literally looked him up after the breakfast.
“I learned about all the work he’s done, and we realised, not even in weeks, in days, that we would get married.”
Parineeti said that she and Raghav didn’t initiate a conversation about tying the knot, but it was almost a given from the earliest stages of their relationship.
She continued: “I swear, I met Raghav, and within five minutes, I knew I was going to marry this man.
“I didn’t even know if he was married, had children, how old he was… He just sat at breakfast in front of me, and I’m looking at this man and saying, ‘I think I’m going to marry this man’.
“It was some God’s voice inside me.”
Parineeti said they began talking over the next few days and they got to know more about each other.
She said: “Of course, feelings developed and all of that happened, and we used to say, ‘What about children, what about family, what are your values?’
“Even in that interview phase, it was a given that we would marry each other, we learned about each other later.”
Speculation of the pair dating first entered the spotlight in March 2023 when they were spotted outside a Mumbai restaurant.
A video soon went viral, showing them exiting the restaurant and leaving in the same car.
Their relationship was soon confirmed and they got married in September 2023.
Parineeti and Raghav tied the knot at The Leela Palace in Udaipur.
For the wedding, Parineeti wore a blush lehenga designed by Manish Malhotra.
Meanwhile, Raghav kept things classic by opting for a cream sherwani.
On the work front, Parineeti Chopra was last seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila, which starred Diljit Dosanjh in the titular role.
