Alaya F addresses 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' Failure - f

"Every film has its own journey and fate."

Alaya F opened up on the failure of her film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2024).

The star played IT Specialist Dr Parminder ‘Pam’ Bawa.

Alaya talked about the differences in which her character was perceived by viewers.

She explained: “My character was viewed in two ways.

“Either people thought that she was the most irritating character to ever grace an action or they thought she was the most endearing character.

“I chose to do the character in a certain way. I was well aware of the fact that she wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea.

“Sometimes, certain scenes after edit end up looking differently onscreen and that’s something out of my control.

“I gave my heart and I did what I thought was the best.

“At one point before the release of the film, I had a moment where I thought, ‘Oh my god, what if people actually end up hating this character?’

“One thing I knew is that the audience couldn’t miss this character.

“You can’t not know what Alaya was playing because she was so out there.

“It was very over-the-top. I was just happy that I received visibility.

“Let people send me some hate and get angry. That also works.

“And anyway, the fact remains that every film has its own journey and fate.”

Along with Alaya F, the film also starred Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha and Manushi Chhillar.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan added another flop to the filmography of Akshay Kumar, whose recent releases have failed to make a mark at the box office.

The likes of Samraat Prithviraj (2022), Raksha Bandhan (2022) and Mission Raniganj (2023) were all failures.

Filmmaker Anees Bazmee opened up about Akshay’s current career slump and opined:

“[Akshay] is a star. Many of these stars have had good times and bad times. It happens.

“Sometimes their films don’t work, then two films will work and it goes on.

“He is such a beautiful person. He can dance, do action, he does fantastic comedy, he can cry, he is a complete actor.

“There can be times when he chose the wrong script, or the wrong people to work with who don’t do justice to his talent.

“I don’t know the exact reason.”

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was released on April 11, 2024.

The film has only earned Rs. 88 crores (ÂŁ8 million) against a budget of Rs. 350 crores (ÂŁ33 million).

Meanwhile, Alaya F will next be seen in Srikanth.

The film is scheduled to be released on May 10, 2024.
