“It’s an open-hearted love story.”

Bangladeshi television star Mosharraf Karim has returned home after Umrah and immediately resumed professional commitments with renewed focus.

The actor came back to Bangladesh on February 11, 2026, after spending ten spiritually reflective days in Saudi Arabia with his wife.

Only four days after landing, he stepped back onto the shooting floors on February 15, 2026.

Mosharraf is currently filming two new television dramas under the direction of longtime collaborator Sagar Jahan, marking a notable reunion.

The upcoming projects are titled Soda Shotto Bolibo and Adu Bhai, both slated for Eid season broadcasts.

Reflecting on working with Sagar Jahan again after a long gap, Mosharraf admitted the experience stirred deep nostalgia.

“It has been a while since I worked with Sagar Jahan. Many old memories are coming back. I am enjoying the work.”

He added that observing the director during shoots reassured him about the project’s progress and creative harmony.

“Looking at the director’s face during shooting, I felt he was satisfied. I am also content working with him.”

Soda Shotto Bolibo has been penned by Ashraful Chanchal and stars Mosharraf opposite actress Aisha Khan in central roles.

The drama is scheduled to air as part of NTV’s special Eid programming, targeting family audiences during the festive break.

According to Mosharraf, the story revolves around emotional sincerity rather than spectacle or exaggerated conflict.

He described the narrative’s focus on honesty and emotional vulnerability, saying:

“It’s an open-hearted love story.”

He also praised his co-star’s performance, noting that Aisha Khan brought warmth and balance to the on-screen relationship.

“As a co-actor, Aisha Khan is doing very well. I always enjoy working on Sagar Jahan’s projects.”

Mosharraf believes viewers will appreciate the familiar emotional tone that once defined many celebrated television dramas.

“I hope viewers will get a touch of the old flavour.”

Meanwhile, director Sagar Jahan confirmed that filming for Adu Bhai is currently underway over a tight schedule.

The second drama also stars Aisha Khan opposite Mosharraf Karim, further strengthening their on-screen pairing this season.

Written by Arko Mostafa, Adu Bhai is expected to lean heavily into humour and character-driven storytelling.

The production team has confirmed that the drama will air during Eid on a private television channel.

Over the years, Mosharraf Karim has built a formidable creative partnership with Sagar Jahan through numerous acclaimed projects.

Their collaborations include memorable series such as Sikandar Box, Average Aslam, Mahin, and Tal Mischiri Na Hawai Mithai.

They also worked together on Fatman and Kobul Bolilo Ke, both of which earned critical and audience appreciation.

Beyond series, Mosharraf Karim starred in standalone dramas directed by Jahan, including Ekti Adorsho Biddaloy and Mon Dorja.

As Eid approaches, expectations remain high for both dramas to resonate with viewers seeking emotion, humour, and familiarity.
