Their latest collaboration is a comedy-drama titled Bou Pera Dey, produced especially for Eid programming and slated for broadcast soon.
The drama has been written and directed by Saif Ahmed and was recently filmed in Pubail, Gazipur, with a tight shooting schedule.
Over the years, Mosharraf and Neela have appeared together in several well-received dramas that audiences still recall fondly.
These include Jamai Bou Oti Chalak, Premer Kono Boyosh Nai, Rongila Majid, Fitfat Babu, and Birambonay Babu, all driven by humour.
With Bou Pera Dey, the makers are once again tapping into the chemistry that has repeatedly connected with television viewers.
According to director Saif Ahmed, the story centres on a married couple navigating everyday situations that are humorous yet relatable.
He explained that married life naturally brings unexpected incidents, misunderstandings, and emotional turns, which the drama portrays playfully.
Saif Ahmed added that the underlying message focuses on balance, showing how happiness and hardship coexist in ordinary human relationships.
He emphasised that trust, affection, and emotional understanding are essential elements for sustaining a peaceful and fulfilling married life.
Mosharraf described the drama as a lighthearted exploration of sweet and sour moments between husband and wife.
He said the script combines situational comedy with a meaningful takeaway, ensuring laughter without losing emotional depth for audiences.
“It also delivers a beautiful message for the audience.”
Speaking about his co-star, Mosharraf praised Neela’s commitment, saying she approaches every role with sincerity and effort.
He added that Neela possesses strong potential as a performer and can grow even further if she continues focusing seriously on acting.
Neelanjona Neela, in return, expressed admiration for Mosharraf’s professionalism and grounded attitude despite his stature.
She said working alongside him always feels enriching, as his natural performance style adds authenticity to every shared scene.
Neela noted that Mosharraf has consistently supported her on set, offering constructive advice that deepens her understanding of characters. She said:
“Our mutual understanding as performers has grown stronger over time.”
“This is why this drama has turned out better than our previous collaborations.”
Neelanjona Neela expressed hope that viewers would enjoy the drama during Eid, especially families seeking light entertainment with relatable emotions.
With its familiar pairing, festive timing, and focus on everyday marital dynamics, Bou Pera Dey aims to connect widely.
