"Meghan confides in Priyanka about the adjustments she has to make"
It seems like Meghan Markle has been ‘confiding’ in Priyanka Chopra about her life as a Royal and the adjustments she has to make.
The two have been close friends for some time and have supported each other every step of the way.
However, there had been speculation that the friendship was coming to an end as both women did not attend each other’s respective events.
So, was the rumours of their fall out true. No. They have always remained close friends and speak to each other on a regular basis.
A source told E! News: “All the rumours that Priyanka and Meghan aren’t friends anymore are totally not true.
“Priyanka and Meghan are still very close friends and they talk frequently.”
The Duchess even speaks to the Bollywood actress about the adjustments she has to make as a member of the royal family.
The insider added: “Meghan confides in Priyanka about the adjustments she has to make with being a royal.”
Rumours about their crumbling friendship began circulating in December 2018 when the former Suits actress did not attend Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding.
A tabloid magazine claimed that Meghan’s absence left Priyanka feeling “crushed”.
The rumours were fuelled even more when Priyanka was absent from Meghan’s baby shower in New York City. Guests at the event included Gayle King, Amal Clooney and Serena Williams.
However, their absences were down to busy schedules and the fact that Meghan is pregnant. Their friendship still remains strong.
The source explained: “Just because Priyanka didn’t go to the shower, or that Meghan couldn’t come to her wedding(s), doesn’t mean anything about their friendship.
“They’re still very close friends and Meghan considers Priyanka one of her closest confidants.”
A source close to Priyanka also firmly denied the rumours and said:
“There are no issues between the two women, and anything you’re being told otherwise is inaccurate and untrue.”
It is clear that Meghan and Priyanka’s friendship is as strong as ever.
In 2018, when Meghan was one of Time’s Most Influential People of 2018, Priyanka was one of the first to congratulate her and wrote about her friend’s qualities.
Priyanka wrote: “More than anything else, Meghan is an important influencer in a world that needs strong public figures to respect and look up to.
“People the world can be inspired by. Meghan, standing shoulder to shoulder with [Prince] Harry, will be a princess for the people.”
When Priyanka got engaged to Nick, he earned Meghan’s seal of approval and she said:
“Everyone is very happy and they are definitely a great match.”
There is definitely no bad blood between the two. In fact, the two are such good friends that Priyanka is even getting some inside knowledge about the royal family.
