"I am dating a fool, but it's not Mr Bean."
In January 2026, Mia Khalifa was at the centre of a curious rumour, after it was claimed that the former adult film star was dating Rowan Atkinson.
Atkinson is an actor, famous for co-creating and starring as the titular character in Mr Bean.
The series is popular as a live-action series and an animated show. The live-action sitcom aired from January 1990 to December 1995.
Atkinson described the character as “a child in a grown man’s body”, and the series follows Mr Bean as he comedically tries to solve problems in his everyday tasks.
It was rumoured that Akinson and Mia Khalifa were dating after an AI-generated image of both of them circulated online.
The image appeared to show the pair on a holiday together.
Taking to X, although Mia suggested that she was in a relationship, she denied that she had any association with Atkinson.
Her tweet read: “Guys, I am dating a fool, but it’s not Mr Bean.”
Mia’s message garnered criticism that was directed at her. One viewer said: “Obviously, he’s a fool for dating you.”
Another user said: “Any guy dating you is definitely a fool.”

When users asked X’s chatbot, Grok, if the rumours were true, it replied:
“No, this rumour is unfounded. Rowan Atkinson has been in a relationship with Louise Ford since 2013.
“No credible sources confirm any link to Mia Khalifa.
“It’s likely a social media hoax.”
Meanwhile, in September 2024, Mia Khalifa opened up about how her previous career in adult content impacted her mental health.
She had said: “I used to have a visceral reaction to even hearing the name ‘Mia’, and knowing that if someone is calling me by that name, they are seeing me in a way that I don’t want to be seen in.
“But that had a lot more to do with my mental health than it does about the bigger picture of things.”
“I think that nine years of therapy is a lot, and it’s not because of what I went through in the industry.
“It’s what I had to go through to get to a point in my life where I feel like I am in a healthy state of mind to make decisions in my life.

Other than Mr Bean, Rowan Atkinson has also starred in the Johnny English film series, and voiced Zazu in Disney’s The Lion King (1994).
