"I just get grabbed and come up to."
Mia Khalifa has frequently discussed her past porn career and how it negatively affected her.
Since quitting the industry, Mia has said she had a negative experience, calling it exploitative.
She claimed that she only worked in porn for three months and made just $12,000. Meanwhile, producers continue to make money from her videos.
Despite no longer being in the industry, she remains one of the most famous names in the business.
However, her past career still affects her and back in 2020, Mia sat down with Smosh member Anthony Padilla for his I Spent a Day With series on YouTube, candidly answering questions.
Anthony asked: “How has being in the adult industry, even for such a brief period of time affected your day-to-day life?”
Mia shockingly revealed that people treat her differently because of it:
“People will grab me.”
A stunned Anthony clarified what she said. Mia explained that it was not even at “a bar or club setting”, not that it’s acceptable there, either.
She continued: “I’m talking about the grocery store where I just get grabbed and come up to.”
Anthony pointed out: “They think that they own your body because they’ve seen your body.”
Agreeing with the host’s comment, Mia continued:
“They will follow me to my car, they will grab me by my arm.
“When I tell them no politely, they’ll call me a w***e or a s**t, or anything in the book.
“It’s happened in the most wholesome of places, like waiting to get my passport stamped at Copenhagen Airport.”
Explaining one incident with her then-husband, Mia Khalifa said:
“I’m standing there with my husband and this guy comes up to us.”
“After I politely say no, because I just got off a 15-hour flight, he screamed at me that I was a b***h and a s**t in front of a line of about 45 people.”
Mia Khalifa added that she and her husband had to stand around awkwardly after the ordeal, trying not to “make eye contact with anybody”.
Anthony Padilla pointed out: “He wanted to get a photo and then he called you derogatory things because you said no.
“They will show you respect unless they feel disrespected, and a simple no is enough to make them feel disrespected.”
Mia agreed and said that “they can’t handle the word”.
