“We haven’t had international celebrities in a while"
Bigg Boss 19 is preparing for its grand premiere and there are reports that boxing icon Mike Tyson could join as a wildcard contestant.
Hosted by Salman Khan, the series has several confirmed contestants.
These include Anupamaa actor Gaurav Khan, gaming YouTuber Payal Dhare and Patiala Babes actress Ashnoor Kaur, among others.
More contestants are expected to be announced and there is speculation over who will enter the reality show.
According to Times of India, one of those names is Mike Tyson.
Reportedly, the former heavyweight champion is in advanced talks with the show’s makers. Discussions reportedly focus on his appearance schedule and his fee for the special stint.
A source told the outlet: “We are in advanced discussions with Tyson and his team, and are currently negotiating his fee.
“If the deal works out, he is expected to enter the house in October for a week or 10 days. The dates, however, are yet to be finalised.”
According to the Times of India report, the show’s creative team sees Tyson as an iconic international figure who can bring back global star power to the series.
The source added: “We haven’t had international celebrities in a while, and they played a key role in boosting the show’s appeal during its earlier seasons.”
Bigg Boss has previously drawn global attention by featuring international stars who added glamour, controversies and unforgettable moments to the reality format.
Pamela Anderson made a glamorous three-day appearance during season 4, which created major buzz and boosted viewership at the time.

If Mike Tyson does come on board the show, his presence would inject fresh drama and global recognition into Bigg Boss 19.
The upcoming series will see the housemates govern themselves, which is bound to lead to heated moments and high-stakes clashes.
