"Weirdest thing I've ever seen."
Amir Khan had confused fans saying “this is just weird” after he shared a video of himself caressing Mike Tyson’s hand.
The pair were among a host of celebrities in attendance in Saudi Arabia for the massive boxing showdown between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou.
Fury controversially won by split decision despite being knocked down in the third round by the former UFC Heavyweight Champion.
Even though it was his boxing debut, Ngannou looked comfortable in the ring.
Amir has been documenting his time at the event on Instagram, sharing pictures of himself with various stars.
He shared his appearance with Mike Tyson, however, the moment baffled fans.
Amir seemed in awe with the boxing legend as he caressed his hand and asked:
“These are the hands of the main man. Mike, how many people did you knock out with these?”
‘Iron’ Mike Tyson replied: “I don’t know, 48 [in the ring] but like 200 in the street!”
As he continued to rub the American’s hand, Amir asked him to open his hand before the pair enjoyed a laugh.
Amir shared the clip on Instagram, however, viewers found the moment bizarre.
One fan said: “Weird guy Amir.”
A second asked: “Why did he hold his hand for so long?!”
A third wrote: “Weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.”
One user wondered why Amir was asking Mike to open his hand, writing:
“Nah how you telling Mike to open and close his hand.”
Another suggested that Amir Khan may have been asking for a punch with his actions as he said:
“We all know Mike doesn’t like being touched like that, he probably had that intrusive thought to add +1 KO to the record.”
It was not the pair’s first interaction in Saudi Arabia as Mike made an impromptu appearance in one of Amir’s interviews.
Whilst speaking to talkSPORT, Mike and his entourage walked through which briefly halted the interview.
Amir saw the funny side as he said: “Hey listen, when Mike Tyson’s walking through, you don’t want to stand in front of Mike Tyson.”
He jokingly added: “He might punch you!
“When you’ve got Mike Tyson walking through you, I’m like, ‘Mate, let him go’ because you don’t wanna get hit by him. You don’t wanna be in his way basically.”
Amir Khan also received trolling for awkwardly trying to wrap a limited edition watch around Eminem’s wrist.
