Mia Khalifa 'likens' Porn Career to Taylor Swift's Music Legal Disputes

"I feel you, Blondie [puzzled emoji] same."

Mia Khalifa appeared to have compared her time in porn to Taylor Swift’s music legal disputes.

The former adult film star took to Twitter to liken the singer’s ordeal with her own by quote retweeting a photo of a young Taylor Swift signing her first record deal when she was just 16 years old.

The caption on the original photo read:

“Her a** was not reading.”

This refers to Taylor’s legal dispute with her former record label Big Machine Records over the ownership of the masters of her first six studio albums.

The dispute was highly publicised and led to Taylor re-recording her first six albums in order to gain complete ownership over them.

The original tweet suggested that the American singer originally had not read the contract she signed, which is what led to the dispute.

Mia compared this to her issues with the adult film industry, by captioning her tweet:

“I feel you, Blondie [puzzled emoji] same.”

Her social media followers were quick to take to the comments section, with one writing:

“Happens to the baddest of b*****s.”

Another wrote: “This is iconic.”

Others believed the post implied that Mia joined the porn industry when she was 16.

One user said: “Wait!! Are you saying you were only 16 when you started porn?

“This would change everything. A lot of people are going to jail if this is the case.”

Another said: “Music industry [handshake emoji] porn industry. Grooming and exploiting teens.”

Since quitting the porn industry, Mia Khalifa has spoken about her regret.

Mia had been the most popular adult film star, however, she claimed that she made just $12,000.

On Stephen Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO podcast, Mia revealed that got married shortly after her 18th birthday and claimed her then-husband had coerced her into doing porn.

After receiving a business card from a porn studio, she showed her husband and he encouraged her to do it.

When asked what her husband stood to gain from the porn offer, Mia replied:

“Fetishisation.”

Looking back on the relationship, she added:

“I even feel weird calling it a relationship, because the dynamic was not one of a relationship – it was more one of someone who saw a toy to play with.”

On her family finding out, Mia previously said:

“There was no one to tell me what to do or say that this is wrong.

“My family had no clue what I was doing, and they disowned me when they found out.

“I felt completely alienated and alone.

“I just realised that some mistakes aren’t forgivable, but time heals all wounds and things are getting better now.”
