Louis Tomlinson has been spotted vibing out to hit Punjabi song ‘Brown Munde’ in a viral video.

The former One Direction member was filmed bopping his head along to the beat in what appears to be a packed nightclub.

‘Brown Munde’ is by AP Dhillon, Gurinder Gill, and Shinda Kahlo. It was first released in September 2020 and quickly dominated the charts.

The music video currently has over three million views on YouTube and the song was also extremely popular across social media platforms, particularly TikTok.

Jess Iszatt, a DJ who had been playing at ‘The Away From Home Festival’, originally shared the short clip on her Instagram Story.

Tagging Louis, the BBC Music Introducing presenter captioned the video:

“Ohhh wait so this is why I felt so bad today.”

‘The Away From Home Festival’ was a free event created and hosted by Louis.

It took place on Monday, August 30, 2021, at the Crystal Palace Bowl in London.

Over 8,500 fans received a ticket through an online prize draw and the Instagram video may potentially be from the event’s afterparty.

Twitter users were quick to comment and share their amusement after coming across the recording of the British pop star.

One user tweeted in a mix of English and Hindi saying:

“Desis Won, friends, we won!”

Another person posted an image of Louis Tomlinson with former bandmate Zayn Malik saying that he was with “another brown munda”, implying that he was now brown himself.

Another netizen posted:

“I’m in love with ‘Brown Munde’ now, everything has to begin and end with Louis.”

One person said: “So we all agree that we’re gonna sing ‘Brown Munde’ at the top of our lungs when he comes to India to make him listen to it backstage right, like as loud as we can.”

The Doncaster-born singer first rose to fame after appearing on X-Factor in 2010.

He and the other four members had auditioned individually but were merged together to form One Direction.

Although they were runners up to Matt Cardle, they were given a record deal immediately after the show concluded and soon shot to global stardom.

Zayn Malik decided to leave the band in 2015 and the remaining four members; Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne went on hiatus shortly afterwards.

All five former members are now working on their solo careers with Louis releasing his debut single ‘Just Hold On’ with DJ Steve Aoki in December 2016 and releasing his debut album, Walls in 2020.
