Zayn and Louis Tomlinson were spotted together in New York, sending fans into a frenzy after years of speculation about their friendship.
A fan shared a picture with the pair, confirming they had reunited in public for the first time in years.
After Zayn departed One Direction in 2015, there were reports of tension between him and Louis.
But their appearance together suggests old wounds have healed, as a fan captured a snap with the pair.
On social media, fans were sent into a frenzy, as one person wrote:
“We’ve waited for times like these.”
Another commented: “Omg, a mini 1D reunion moment.”
A third added: “Louis and Zayn reunited… absolutely NOT on my 2025 bingo card!!!”
One comment read: “This makes me happy. A few bumps in the road, but their friendship reconnected.”
The pair’s reported feud reached a peak in 2015 when producer Naughty Boy shared a picture with Zayn that was captioned: “Replace this.”
After Zayn retweeted the picture, Louis responded: “Remember when you were 12 and you used to think those Mac filters for your pictures were cool haha! Some people still do HA!”
Zayn tweeted to Louis directly: “Remember when you had a life and stopped making b****y comments about mine?”
Years later, Louis admitted he was young and silly at the time.
Their bond appeared to strengthen after Liam Payne’s death in October 2024.
The group released a joint statement at the time: “In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say.
“But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly.
“The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever.”
“For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam.”
Zayn and Louis began reconnecting earlier in 2025.
In January, Louis attended Zayn’s show in Hollywood, where the latter gave him a shout-out:
“Tonight is kind of special. An old friend of mine is here supporting me tonight.”
Looking up to the balcony, Zayn told fans:
“He’s sitting somewhere here. I don’t want to give his location away, but Louis is here tonight.”
