Indian Pornstar lured Models into Making Adult Films

An Indian pornstar has been arrested for allegedly luring young women into making adult films by falsely promising them Bollywood careers.

Nandita Dutta, who often performs under the name Nancy Bhabbi, has been accused of forcing two models into getting naked on camera in Kolkata.

One victim claimed she was forced to appear in an explicit video at a hotel in New Town.

The other alleged she was made to take part in a nude photoshoot at a studio in Ballygunge.

It was reported that they were told that if they took part, their Bollywood acting careers would take off.

Dutta was arrested at her home in Dum Dum.

Meanwhile, her associate, Mainak Ghosh, was arrested at his home in Naktala following the complaint on July 26, 2021.

The pair were charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.

This includes sections 354B (assaults or uses criminal force to any woman or abets such act with the intention of disrobing or compelling her to be naked), 354C (voyeurism), 500 (defamation), 509 (molestation), 370 (buying or disposing of any person as a slave), 417 (cheating) and 469 (forgery).

The pair are currently being remanded in custody.

A spokesman for the Bidhannagar Commissionerate said:

“We are going to interrogate them for their accomplices and also to know other places where they conducted the shoots.

“We will also question them whether they used to sell videos and if they were a part of a larger porn racket.”

The arrest of the Indian pornstar and her associate comes after a photographer and a make-up artist were arrested in a similar case.

They were produced before a court and were sent to police custody.

According to the investigation, the groups lure women from lower-class families who are desperate for work.

They offer them work while also threatening them if they quit as well as making false promises that they would provide a long-term career opportunity.

Police are also investigating whether the two porn cases are connected to the ongoing Raj Kundra pornography case.

Raj Kundra was arrested on July 19, 2021, for allegedly producing and distributing pornographic films through mobile apps.

This has resulted in numerous allegations against the businessman.

Sherlyn Chopra had accused Kundra of sexual misconduct.

There are also questions whether his wife, actress Shilpa Shetty, was involved.

She has denied the allegations and issued a lengthy statement, urging the media and the public to stop circulating rumours and “unwarranted aspersions”, and to let the justice system take its course.
