On September 9, 2018, a father, in his mid-forties, was arrested by Indian police in Porbandar city, in the state Gujarat, for raping his three daughters for the past five years.

The youngest daughter is aged nine and the other two are teenagers, aged 14 and 16.

The father was shockingly sexually assaulting the youngest girl when she was only the tender age of four.

It’s reported that the mother of the girls passed away and the three girls were then moved to a private boarding school.

After the father’s arrest, Kamla Baug police station inspector, HM Patel said:

“The accused works as a casual labourer.

“After the death of his wife five years ago, he put his four children — three daughters and a 15-year-old son — in a school run by a private trust in Junagadh.

“Then blinded by lust, he went to Junagadh to picked up his eldest daughter. After bringing her home, he allegedly raped her.

“This became a habit and he picked her up during school holidays and vacation and raped her several times.”

The man then started to target the younger daughters as officer Patel revealed:

“Employing a similar tactic, he would pick up his second daughter from school and take her home. He allegedly raped her several times.”

On September 3, 2018, he assaulted his youngest daughter.

He threatened the girls with dire consequences if they ever told anyone or complained about the rapes and sexual molestation.

The sisters never ever said anything about what they were horrifically enduring at the hands of their own father.

They never even told each other about the sexual assaults committed on them by their father for so many years.

However, it was the youngest daughter that had the courage to speak up about her rape and told her elder sister what happened. The elder sister then revealed what took place to their brother.

Then the middle sister also confirmed her ordeal of being raped and sexually assaulted by their father as well. Telling her siblings how and when it took place.

This triggered the children to tell the police. First, the elder sister went to the Kamlabaug station on Saturday, September 8, 2018, to report the matter.

Taking the details, a police officer revealed:

“Accused is a resident of Chayya locality and around 40 years of age. On Saturday late night, the eldest daughter had come to Kamla Baug police station to file an FIR.”

The FIR contains a claim by the elder daughter that when she was visiting her father five years ago during her holidays, it was then when he first raped her.

Then police say that after he kept her quiet he also began to rape the other two, saying:

“After he managed to keep the eldest daughter mum over the issue, he made the other two sisters his target.”

The rest of the children then joined their elder sister at the police station in Panch Hatdi, Porbandar, to provide further evidence against their father. HM Patel said:

“All the children then decided to approach the police and reached Kamlabaug police station themselves on Saturday evening.”

The girls were all then sent for medical examinations by the police. They then tracked the father down and arrested him for the hideous crime.

He has been taken into immediate custody and charged for rape and also under the other various sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.

The repeated rape of these girls by their father has utterly shocked the coastal city of Porbandar.
