"Every element put up had a meaning to it"
Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda blended heritage, symbolism and personal sentiment in their Udaipur wedding.
The couple married on February 26 at the luxury Mementos resort, which was transformed to reflect a carefully curated vision rather than a conventional display of grandeur.
The wedding décor was designed by RVR Eventz and Design.
On Instagram, the planners said the concept was rooted in history and meaning:
“Every element put up had a meaning to it, representing the Periodic Era, highlighting the rich Indian heritage.”

The team explained that the aesthetic was inspired by what the couple wanted to feel on their wedding day, not simply how it would look.
The caption continued: “Every brief has been taken very seriously, whether it was Vijay’s choice of using terracotta, or his mother’s love of using mantras on Adduthera, we brought all their visions to reality!”
According to the planners, nature remained central to the design. The venue’s natural setting allowed the visual narrative to lead.
“To complement the beautiful property, we kept nature at the heart of the design, letting the venue’s natural beauty shine.
“Earthy tones set the palette, naturally leading us to incorporate terracotta elements.”

The colour scheme featured brick, rust and brass tones, with accents of red and green. The overall effect was warm and grounded.
Vintage Devanagari scripts and mythical figures were incorporated across the space. Small clusters of flowers were placed at the base of pillars. Wooden shelves with antique motifs framed the ceremony area.
Seating arrangements in beige, vermillion and gold completed the setting. The choices reflected a cohesive approach rather than isolated decorative statements.
“We ditched the ordinary huge artefacts and kept the design rooted to the theme of this wedding – The Periodic Era.”

The planners also emphasised that the wedding was shaped by the couple’s personal preferences and family traditions:
“Every element put up had a meaning to it, representing the Periodic Era, highlighting the rich Indian heritage.”
The brief was always about authenticity over spectacle.
“The décor, the attire, the frames, everything was planned to sync well, nothing stood alone, everything belonged.”
The ceremony reflected that philosophy.

Rashmika arrived at the mandap on an ivory palki adorned with intricately carved motifs while Vijay carried a long brass sword sheathed in an embroidered red case.
Sanskrit verses were recited as blessings, reinforcing the historical theme that underpinned the décor. The terracotta palette and vintage brass accents created visual continuity throughout the venue.

RVR Eventz and Design noted that it was “more than just putting up a grand wedding show”.
The planners concluded that the couple wanted their union to remain deeply connected to their roots, simple yet authentic.
Together, the symbolic details, muted earthy tones and heritage references ensured the ceremony felt cohesive and intentional rather than ornamental.
