"when it is to be spoken about, we shall.”
Rashmika Mandanna has addressed the growing speculation around her alleged engagement to Vijay Deverakonda.
The actress was asked about the rumoured marriage during a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India.
Neither confirming nor denying the rumours, Rashmika responded:
“I wouldn’t like to do either; when it is to be spoken about, we shall.”
Rashmika’s remarks come amid sustained media and fan speculation about her alleged relationship with Vijay.
She explained how she firmly separates her professional and private life.
Rashmika said: “At least 80% of the time, I don’t discuss work at home.”
Revealing that even speaking about her career keeps her mentally in work mode, Rashmika elaborated:
“Talking about work is still work. When I’m at work or in a meeting, I give my 100%, but when I’m at home, I’m at home. I’m that kind of person.”
She also spoke about the importance of emotional balance and protecting her personal space from the pressures of the industry.
“As much as we are actors, I want to cut off from work when I go home. If something is bothering me, I go and ask for advice or help.
“But at home, I want to cut off from work because you cannot be 24/7 at work.”
Rashmika further revealed that even within her family, her profession rarely dominates conversations:
“We are actors and work doesn’t leave us, but with my mother, dad or anyone in my family, I don’t talk about work.
“I take my personal life extremely seriously. I’ve made it a thing – I don’t want to talk about work.”
Several media outlets reported that Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda got engaged in a private ceremony in October 2025.
It was also reported that they are set to get married in February 2026.
A source previously told Hindustan Times that Rashmika had begun wedding preparations and recently travelled to Udaipur to explore potential venues for what is expected to be a high-profile celebration.
Rashmika previously got fans excited with her answer to kill, marry and date during an event.
Rashmika revealed that she would date the anime character Naruto before adding:
“Yes, I will marry Vijay.”
Neither Rashmika nor Vijay has publicly confirmed the reports. For now, the actress appears focused on maintaining privacy and balance as speculation around her personal life continues to mount.
