Back in 2019, fans were surprised when Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday first appeared together in Pati Patni Aur Woh.
Viewers connected with their dynamic as colleagues who fall in love, despite Kartik’s character being married to Bhumi Pednekar’s role.
Their chemistry quickly became a trending topic and helped the film appeal strongly to young South Asian audiences.
So when the pair were confirmed to reunite for a new romantic comedy, excitement grew immediately online.
The teaser of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri offered the first look at their new onscreen journey.
During a media conference in Jaipur, Ananya Panday opened up about her long-time friendship and working relationship with Kartik Aaryan.
She said, “I feel very comfortable around Kartik, and I have always felt comfortable.”
She added that his presence on set gives her reassurance and ease.
Ananya continued, “I feel very taken care of when he is around, especially on the set, because I know he is looking out for the film.”
She explained that his focus is on the entire project rather than only his character.
Ananya also praised how Kartik shapes the mood on set while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere.
She shared, “There is a lot to learn, and the environment is very jokey and fun.”
She said this helps the cast speak openly and contribute creatively.
According to her, nothing ever feels too intense or overwhelming during filming.
She added, “It’s been a joy to work this way, and even after seven years, it’s going to be the same.”
The actor noted that their working style remains unchanged since their first collaboration.
In Pati Patni Aur Woh, Ananya played the woman who unknowingly becomes involved with Kartik’s married character, a performance that received praise.
This time, Kartik plays Ray and Ananya plays Rumi, with their story beginning during a scenic holiday in Croatia.
The teaser shows them meeting and gradually falling in love while exploring the location’s vibrant surroundings.
One teaser moment shows Ananya’s character getting stung by a jellyfish and asking Kartik to suck out the poison.
He refuses in a playful moment, hinting at their strong off-camera comfort.
Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, also called TMMTMTTM, is directed by Sameer Vidwans and written by Karan Shrikant Sharma.
It is produced by Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures, led by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Bhumika Tewari, Shareen Mantri Kedia and Kishor Arora.
The film stars Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday alongside Neena Gupta, Jackie Shroff and Tiku Talsania.
It was officially announced in December 2024 and filmed across Croatia, Rajasthan, Agra and Mumbai during its 57-day schedule.
The cinematography is led by Anil Mehta, with music composed by Vishal and Shekhar.
Filming began in May 2025 and wrapped in September 2025 after extensive shoots in Croatia, Nawalgarh and the Taj Mahal.
The film blends romance, comedy and picturesque visual storytelling designed to appeal to modern Indian audiences.
Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is set for a theatrical release on December 25, 2025, coinciding with Christmas.
