"Yes, I will marry Vijay."
Rashmika Mandanna said she “will marry” Vijay Deverakonda amid reports that they will tie the knot in February 2026.
Though neither has officially confirmed their relationship, fans have frequently spotted them vacationing at the same destinations and sharing similar posts on social media.
Earlier in 2025, both hinted that they were “not single” but stopped short of naming each other.
In October, reports circulated that Rashmika and Vijay got engaged in a ceremony in Hyderabad.
Now, at a recent Honest Townhall event, Rashmika delighted fans with her answer to kill, marry and date.
Rashmika revealed that she would date the anime character Naruto before adding:
“Yes, I will marry Vijay.”
Her casual remark comes as speculation mounts that Rashmika and Vijay Deverakonda are engaged and set to wed in February 2026.
A source told India Today that “the couple is indeed planning to wed next year”, adding that preparations for a February ceremony are already underway.
On what she looks for in her ideal life partner, Rashmika said:
“My type is honestly someone who is capable of understanding at a deep level. I am not talking in the generic sense. It is an understanding of life from his own perspective.
“How does he perceive certain situations? I want someone who is open to understanding. Someone who is genuinely nice and someone who can fight a war with me, or for me.
“If there is war against me tomorrow, I know that man will fight with me. I will do the same. I will take a bullet for him any day. That is my kind of person.”
Rashmika and Vijay first worked together in the 2018 blockbuster Geetha Govindam and again in Dear Comrade the following year.
Since then, the pair have remained one of South cinema’s most talked-about on-screen and off-screen duos.
While Rashmika Mandanna’s personal life is making headlines, her professional front is also buzzing, following the recent release of her latest film The Girlfriend.
Explaining why she took on the project, Rashmika said:
“The reason why I said yes to Girlfriend is because I felt this is a very important story to tell and a very thought-provoking film. This film is like a warm hug.
“Everyone will be able to relate to this at some point in their life.”
“I feel it takes a lot of guts to tell a story like this. Luckily, I have had a great career, and I am using all my success and visibility for a film like this.
“I want to do this film for me as an actor and as a human being.
“You have to do something so meaningful that you can give back to your audience. I hope that this film will change at least one person. Then our job is done.”
Although the comment sounded casual, it may have been a subtle hint of what’s to come for Rashmika Mandanna.
