"I can't wait for fans worldwide to dance to this."
Guru Randhawa has entered the K-pop world for the first time through a new collaboration with LE SSERAFIM on the official global remix of their hit single ‘BOOMPALA’.
The collaboration also marks a first for LE SSERAFIM, making Guru Randhawa the first Indian artist to officially collaborate with the five-member group.
The group’s second studio album, PUREFLOW pt. 1, was released in May 2026 and became their fifth consecutive Top 10 entry on the Billboard 200.
The album debuted at No. 10 and also topped Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart.
Its lead track, ‘BOOMPALA’, built around a Latin house sound and sampling the global hit ‘Macarena’, also entered the US Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 at No. 10.
The remix brings together K-pop, Punjabi pop and Latin-inspired production.
Guru adds new Punjabi verses to the track while retaining the original Korean, English and Spanish lyrics, creating a multilingual release aimed at a global audience.
On the collaboration, Guru said: “LE SSERAFIM is incredible and ‘BOOMPALA’ already has an infectious energy that reminds me of the massive, celebratory vibe we love in India.
“Bringing a touch of my signature style to a Latin-house K-pop track sampling ‘Macarena’ felt like a beautiful masterpiece. I can’t wait for fans worldwide to dance to this.”
LE SSERAFIM added: “We are absolutely thrilled to collaborate with Guru Randhawa.
“When we created ‘BOOMPALA,’ our goal was to bring people together across different generations and cultures through a shared, festival-like energy.
“Guru’s incredible Indian artistry brought an entirely new, vibrant life to the track.
“It’s an honour to connect with our fans in India and around the world through this special cross-cultural celebration.”
The collaboration adds another international project to Guru Randhawa’s catalogue.
The artist has previously worked with artists including Pitbull, Jay Sean, The Chainsmokers, Rick Ross and French Montana.
According to the artists, the remix expands on the themes explored throughout PUREFLOW pt. 1, including personal growth and overcoming fear.
By combining multiple languages and musical influences, the release aims to turn the song’s festival atmosphere into a broader cross-cultural celebration.
The ‘BOOMPALA’ remix is available globally now, bringing together one of K-pop’s fastest-rising groups and one of South Asia’s most internationally recognised pop stars in a collaboration that reflects the growing connection between the Korean and Indian music industries.
