One of 2024’s most talked-about films, Deyaler Desh, will begin streaming on Chorki on July 17, 2025.

This digital release follows months of anticipation from fans who missed its theatrical run.

Directed by Mishuk Moni, Deyaler Desh originally hit cinemas during Eid-ul-Fitr and marked the filmmaker’s directorial debut.

The film stars Shobnom Bubly and Sariful Razz. Their performances were widely appreciated by audiences and critics alike.

Ahead of the OTT release, Chorki shared the official trailer on July 15.

The post quickly gained traction, building excitement for the streaming debut.

Deyaler Desh combines mystery and romance, unfolding within the unlikely setting of a hospital morgue.

The story follows Nahar and Boishakh, played by Shobnom and Sariful, as they navigate an unusual love story surrounded by death and silence.

Supporting cast members include Shahadat Hossain, Zinat Sanu Swagata, Saberi Alam, and Azizul Hakim.

Others in key roles are Shamapty Mashuq, AK Azad Shetu, Ashok Bepari, Jainal Jack, Azam Khan, and Deepak Kumar Goswami.

The screenplay was also penned by Mishuk Moni, who received a government grant for the project in 2021.

Speaking about the OTT release, Mishuk said he believes the film is a good fit for Chorki’s audience base.

He noted that viewers had requested a digital release since the film’s theatrical debut.

He added: “Though it’s a bit late, I’m happy more people can now watch Deyaler Desh, both locally and internationally.”

Shobnom Bubly spoke candidly at a press event about choosing to act in the film.

She revealed that taking the role was a difficult decision, given her background in commercial cinema.

Shobnom shared:

“In this film, I had to become a character, not just perform as a typical heroine.”

Shobnom also addressed the stigma often attached to government grant-funded films in the local industry.

She said: “I hope this film helps change that narrative and shows the creative potential of such projects.”

Shobnom mentioned that the story captured her attention immediately, describing it as truly distinct from mainstream productions.

The film also drew praise for its background music, atmosphere, and non-traditional structure.

As Deyaler Desh heads to OTT, audiences now have the opportunity to experience its unique world from the comfort of their homes.

Whether watching late at night or on the go, the film offers a gripping escape into a world where love meets mystery.
