"This makes the 6 am mornings worth it.”
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone took to the gym where she conquered battle rope training while cheekily dancing to the ‘Lungi Dance’ (2013).
Deepika’s amazing physique is the result of her gruelling gym sessions and this has been proven time and again with various gym videos.
Recently, Yasmin Karachiwala, Deepika’s trainer, shared a video of the actress doing battle rope workouts on Instagram.
She captioned the video, “It’s important to have fun too! @deepikapadukone has the perfect combination of working hard and having fun. This makes the 6 am mornings worth it.”
In the video, Deepika is seen in her all-black gym wear as she is battling ropes while Yasmin is encouraging her to keep going.
When the chorus of the ‘Lungi Dance’ (2013) song plays, Deepika Padukone breaks into the lungi dance moves.
Battle rope exercises are reportedly one of the best forms of exercises to boost metabolism and maximise cardio.
They are also beginner-friendly, therefore, there is no need to feel intimidated by them.
In fact, slamming, waving and whipping these large ropes does not strain your body. However, the benefits are all-round great for the body.
There are also various battle rope exercises to include into a workout to change things up from a double arm wave, high toss to a power slam.
Speaking to Hindustan Times about Deepika’s motivation in the gym, Yasmin explained:
“The secret is her commitment to fitness and her dedication. She knows that working out makes her feel really good.”
“Whether it 7 in the morning or sometimes even 6 or 5 am, she makes sure that she gets a good workout before she heads for a shoot.”
On the work front, Deepika Padukone is set to appear in Kabir Khan’s 83 (2020) opposite her husband Ranveer Singh.
This is the first time the couple will be seen on-screen together after their wedding.
