“I have become more affectionate and caring"

Zara Noor Abbas has now fully embraced a new role in her life – motherhood.

Following her performances in dramas Jhoom and Stand-Up Girl, she has been relishing the experience of being a mother to her daughter.

In a candid interview on Political Insight, Zara openly discussed how motherhood has transformed her life.

She revealed: “Motherhood has brought about a significant change in me.

“My anger has diminished, and I now feel a greater sense of compassion and understanding towards others, especially fellow mothers.

“I have become more affectionate and caring towards those around me.”

Zara also shared how motherhood has influenced her perspective on time management.

She said: “Since becoming a mother, I’ve become more mindful of time management.

“Whenever I have a commitment, I make sure to plan ahead and prepare everything in advance, so I can stay organised and on schedule.”

When asked which role – acting, being a wife or being a new mother – is the most challenging, Zara responded:

“I believe that none of these things are difficult.

“If you approach them with love, they will be extremely easy for you. And I can confidently say, I enjoy being a mother the most.”

Regarding her parenting philosophy, Zara Noor Abbas emphasised her desire to raise her daughter as a kind and responsible citizen.

She said: “As I learn to be a parent, I want to help my daughter become a kind and responsible person.

“I’ll focus on teaching her to be caring and understanding, rather than just pushing her to do well in school.

“My main goal is to raise her to be a good person who never hurts others.”

In April 2024, Zara took to Instagram to share her experiences with pregnancy and motherhood.

She described her postpartum journey as a transformative experience from “nothingness to everything”.

Reflecting on the pressure to have all the answers in the early days of motherhood, she wrote:

“The questions that will only be answered by spending alone time with the baby are immense. The pressure to know it all in these 40 days is superior! It’s a lot!

“And I feel like we don’t talk much about the journey after birth. Postpartum is real. It’s as real as pregnancy.”

Zara concluded her heartfelt post with essential advice: “Listen to your body and your instinct as a mother.”

Her fans have rushed to her support.

A user wrote: “Zara is such a positive person. She inspires me to look for the good in the bad.”

Another added: “You are so strong and resilient. As a new mother myself, your words bring me comfort and hope.”

One said: “Good to see her doing so well with her child. The plans she has for Noor Jahan are also very smart.”
