"I think it is easier to point fingers."

Zara Noor Abbas has finally addressed long-standing rumours regarding a potential rift between her and fellow star Sajal Aly.

Fans noticed that the two celebrities had unfollowed each other on social media platforms like Instagram a few months ago.

When asked about the current status of their bond during a podcast, Zara clarified that they are still on good terms.

She stated: “Okay, I can’t understand how people think that if two have people unfollowed each other then that means they don’t talk to each other.”

She explained that digital actions do not always reflect the true nature of personal interactions behind closed doors.

The star admitted that she and Sajal have simply moved into very different phases of their own lives.

“I think we have gone into many different scenarios now.”

Zara noted that it is easy for the public to point fingers at the most flamboyant person.

She felt that her personality often leads people to believe she is the one responsible for any social disagreements.

She explained: “I think it is easier to point fingers at the person who is most flamboyant in the room, to say that ‘He is the killer’, so it is very easy, and I have always had that ‘she is the killer, she said it’ [vibe].”

The conversation shifted toward the general nature of friendships within the competitive and gossip-driven Pakistani entertainment television industry.

She candidly observed that professional proximity often complicates relationships between women who are working in the same creative field.

The actress mentioned that she prefers the company of men because they tend to be more straightforward as friends.

“I think girl friends can be great friends if they are not in the vicinity of your field.”

“The moment they are in the vicinity of your field or any such interaction, the whole room changes, the energy changes, and then you’re like ye kya horaha hai (what is happening), but men don’t have that.”

She warned that not everyone who shakes your hand should be considered a true or very loyal friend.

Zara Noor Abbas also reflected on a moment when Yumna Zaidi gave her some very blunt but necessary feedback.

The star questioned her dedication to her craft following the release of the drama series, which was titled Zebaish.

Yumna asked her: “You don’t take your work seriously, right?”

The direct question forced her to reassess her professional choices.

Zara realised that she had not read the script properly before accepting the role in that production.

She admitted that she took herself too easily and treated the project as if it were fun and games.

Zara Noor Abbas also discussed how her approach to networking has changed as she no longer feels the need to grind.

The actress expressed that she now prioritises meaningful connections over the shallow interactions often found in the celebrity world.
