A video has gone viral of Ranveer Singh experiencing a fanboy moment when he met NBA player Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Ranveer had been at the NBA All-Star Weekend in Cleveland, Ohio, and even played in the celebrity game.

During the three-day event, Ranveer, who is the NBA’s ambassador for India, met numerous stars, including actor Bill Murray, basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal and rapper Meek Mill.

But it was his meeting with Milwaukee Bucks player Giannis Antetokounmpo that attracted a lot of attention.

The Bollywood star met the sportsman courtside and expressed how much of a fan he is.

In the video, Ranveer is seen fist-bumping Giannis and telling him:

“From the bottom of the bottom to the top of the pops, baby. That’s how we do it.

“That’s champion stuff. Your core is of a champion and you are a warrior, brother.

“I love and respect you. From across the seven seas, man. I’ll always be cheering for you.”

Ranveer’s starstruck moment went viral and got a lot of love from fans.

One person said: “Aww he’s like a kid in the candy store.”

Another wrote: “He is just excited. Let the man have his moment. He is living his dream.

“I would probably be the same if I were to meet my fave sports stars. I find it endearing and this makes him more real. This man is all heart.”

A third commented:

“Bahahahahaha. This entire NBA all-star weekend has endeared me to Ranveer so, so much.”

Another special moment for the actor was meeting basketball great LeBron James.

Ranveer shared a picture of himself courtside fist-bumping the LA Lakers player.

He captioned the post: “The King and I! What a precious moment.”

Looking back on the experience, Ranveer said it has been one of the “greatest weekends” of his life.

He called it an “unforgettable experience” with a “wealth of precious moments”.

Before travelling for the game, Ranveer Singh said in a statement:

“It is quite exciting for me! This is the stuff of dreams. That it’s so far-fetched that it’s not even on my bucket list.

“I will be playing against and with some of the finest talents in the world of talent and sport and it’ll be a great experience to be in Cleveland in what is a weekend-long celebration of basketball culture.

“I am really looking forward to it.”
