Three people have been arrested after a 23-year-old man was shot in the leg following disorder outside a nightclub in Digbeth, Birmingham.
Police were called to Luna Springs shortly before 11:20 pm on Sunday, August 23, following reports of trouble at the venue.
Officers said a gun was fired at the corner of Hack Street and Bromley Street after the disorder spilt onto the street.
The injured 23-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment following the shooting.
He remained under arrest on suspicion of violent disorder and was due to be questioned by police.
A 30-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and possession of a knife.
A third man, aged 20, was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.
Detectives from the Major Crime Unit are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police have been gathering evidence, reviewing CCTV footage and speaking with witnesses who may have information about what happened.
A cordon remained in place around the area on Monday afternoon, as detectives continued their work at the scene.
Detective Inspector Stacey Follows, from the Major Crime Unit, said the investigation remained in its early stages.
She said police believed the disorder began inside Luna Springs before continuing outside onto the street, where the shooting took place.
She added: “There were a lot of people present at the venue last night.”
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
Officers are also asking anyone who recorded the incident on their mobile phone to share footage with investigators.
A dedicated police webpage has been created where members of the public can submit information, photographs and videos that could assist the investigation.
The latest incident comes after two men were stabbed during a day rave at Luna Springs in May.
Police are now working to establish what happened before the shooting and determine who else may have been involved.
The investigation is expected to examine events both inside the venue and after the disorder moved onto the surrounding streets.
Detectives are urging witnesses to provide any information that could help them piece together the events leading up to the shooting.

Police have not confirmed the circumstances surrounding the shooting beyond the information released so far.
