"Get a life bro, and stop hurting people."

Sehar Khan has spoken out against the rise of content that centres on humiliating guests, particularly women, in the name of entertainment.

Her sharp criticism followed a strongly worded Instagram story, where she expressed deep frustration with podcasters who deliberately corner and shame their guests.

Khan said she felt compelled to address a growing culture of content that thrives on disrespect and public embarrassment rather than genuine conversation.

Her comments resonated widely among fans who increasingly question the motives behind viral podcast clips circulating across South Asian social media.

The actor made it clear she believes this behaviour reflects a troubling shift in digital media dynamics.

“Honestly, I need to get this off my chest,” she wrote while discussing the direction many podcasts seem to have taken recently.

She said she found it disturbing that hosts invite guests only to insult them or force answers to questions meant to embarrass them.

Khan described watching a particularly upsetting exchange where a woman was confronted with her own videos and pressured to justify her choices on air.

She asked why podcast hosts believe they have the authority to decide what is morally right for someone else.

Khan wrote that every person has the right to live as they choose without interference from arrogant commentators who claim moral superiority.

She emphasised that only God can judge these choices, not self-appointed critics seeking online traction.

Khan said such hosts disguise humiliation as moral accountability when their real intention seems to be generating views.

She urged people to avoid shows that thrive on shaming guests rather than fostering meaningful dialogue.

The actor called it sad to see a host repeatedly inviting people only to belittle them in front of viewers.

“Get a life bro, and stop hurting people,” she concluded, expressing clear disappointment with the direction of several popular digital platforms.

Although Khan did not name a specific host, her comments arrived as clips from Rehan Tariq’s show on 24 News, featuring TikTok star Warda Malik, were circulating online.

In the widely discussed episode, Tariq confronted Malik with videos of herself dancing or relaxing in a pool and repeatedly questioned whether the content was “justified”.

The male-dominated panel continued to police Malik’s choices, asking degrading questions that made her visibly uncomfortable as she defended her interests.

Malik reiterated that she enjoyed dancing, music, and creating the videos she shared with her followers.

Sehar Khan’s criticism reflects a broader frustration with podcasts that turn interviews into traps rather than platforms for conversation.

She joins many who have previously condemned shows hosted by figures such as Nadir Ali, who has sparked backlash for similar treatment of women guests.

Viewers argue that such shows frame women’s personal choices as moral controversies to exploit for online engagement.

Khan said these hosts attempt to shame women under the pretext of guidance, when the issue lies with the behaviour of the hosts themselves.

The actor noted that harmless videos showing women enjoying their own lives should not be judged or condemned.

She said the real concern is the rise of podcast formats engineered to embarrass guests through targeted moral policing.

Sehar Khan added that this pattern reinforces harmful gender dynamics that undermine women’s autonomy in South Asian media spaces.

Her comments have reignited discussion about the responsibility of media creators and the pressures faced by women navigating highly scrutinised digital environments.

Many social media users praised her for speaking openly about the issue.
